Glen Hodgson lives in Parry Sound and is currently on leave from his job as a teacher at Parry Sound High School while he works for the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation. A resident of the riding for the past 15 years, Hodgson’s family roots in Parry Sound-Muskoka go back generations and he has family throughout the riding.

Glen has been involved in the Green Party since his days at Trent University in the early ‘90s. He first ran for the Green Party federally in 1997 and has since run in the 2004, 2006 and 2008 federal elections and in one Provincial election.

He is a board member of the West Parry Sound District Museum, the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve, and a regular columnist in the local community paper and founder of the Films That Make You Think film series. Glen and his family are currently working on completing an off-grid straw bale home.

Glen enjoys canoeing and kayaking and is a high school coach and a referee in basketball, volleyball and badminton. He loves to spend time with his partner Kristy, their son Trent and daughter Autumn, and the family pets, a dog named Buddy and two rescued cats.
