Green candidate joins vote mob
April 28, 2011 - HUNTSVILLE - Grade 6, 7 and 8 students at Huntsville Public School participated in an impromptu Vote Mob on Thursday morning on the streets of downtown Huntsville and were joined by Federal Green Party Candidate, Glen Hodgson. Vote mobs are a recent phenomenon designed to encourage people, especially youth, to get out to vote and they have been effective in engaging the public in the democratic process. Greens celebrate Earth Day in Parry Sound-Muskoka
April 22, 2011 - MUSKOKA - The Parry Sound-Muskoka Green Party is encouraging everyone in the riding to celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd by heading to the advance polls and voting Green. Hodgson and his family will be heading to the Rugged Coast trail in Parry Sound at 10AM to do their part to celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up a section of the trail. Green Party candidate meets student activists
April 18, 2011 - MUSKOKA - Parry Sound-Muskoka Green Party candidate, Glen Hodgson capped off a strong week of election campaigning by attending the Green Party of Ontario AGM held this past weekend at Grandview Resort in Huntsville. Hodgson had the opportunity to address the crowd of Green Party members from across Ontario and then listened to a presentation from a student group from Huntsville High School.  Read more...

Local Greens plan to celebrate Earth Hour
The Parry Sound-Muskoka Green Party will be honouring Earth Hour on March 26th and the organization is encouraging others across the region to join in solidarity with the goals of the event and bring awareness to the need to reduce our overall impact on the environment. The television companies, while admitting they have no rules for who participates in the leader’s debate, have attempted to overrule Canadians by barring Elizabeth May. She learned of the decision from a Canadian Press reporter and not from the TV companies. Read more...
Green Party candidate ends busy week of campaigning
Parry Sound-Muskoka Green Party candidate, Glen Hodgson, enjoyed a busy first week of campaigning. Hodgson began the campaign at a Green Party of Ontario fundraiser in Gravenhurst on Friday just before the election call. He then campaigned in Port Carling and Parry Sound on the weekend and hosted an Earth Hour event at his home. Throughout the week Hodgson attended an educational conference hosted by the Georgian Bay Biosphere, hosted a class of high school students for an educational seminar on his 205 acre woodlot, main streeted in Bracebridge, and then set up signs and talked to voters on the weekend.
