Glen Hodgson, Federal
Candidate
Glen Hodgson lives in Parry Sound and is
a teacher at Parry Sound High School. A resident of the
riding for the past 13 years, Hodgson’s family roots in
Parry Sound-Muskoka go back generations and he has family
throughout the riding.
Glen has been involved in the Green Party since his days at
Trent University in the early ‘90s. He first ran for the
Green Party federally in 1997 and has since run in the 2004,
2006 and 2008 federal elections. If students had their way,
Glen would be in Ottawa: in the last three federal elections
and the last provincial election, Glen was elected as
Student Vote MP, a feat that makes him very proud.
Glen is a board member of the West Parry Sound District
Museum, a board member for the Georgian Bay Biosphere
Reserve, and a regular columnist in the local community
paper.
Glen enjoys canoeing and kayaking and is a high school coach
and a referee in basketball, volleyball and badminton. He
loves to spend time with his partner Kristy, their son Trent
and the family pets, a dog named Buddy, and two rescued
cats.
Glen Hodgson is the Green Party of Canada's nominated
candidate for Parry Sound - Muskoka.
